The new plan for the 2015 Full Practice Authority campaign is in place. Instead of identifying target counties we are going to work with regional groups to cover legislative districts. The plan is to have one or two representatives from each regional group serve on the campaign committee. We are asking the regional group presidents to identify a member(s) of the group who would be willing and able to serve. It can be anyone who has 1-2 hours per month available to work on campaign business and lots of energy to work on this issue.
These are the responsibilities of these committee volunteers:
- 30 minute call each month
- Send mass communications – with help from PCNP Central Office staff
- Make calls to local members to coordinate legislative visits
- Occasionally coordinate events related to the campaign
- Participate in Lobby Day
- Help brainstorm ideas to acquire coalition partners and support from our constituents
- Provide enthusiasm and direction for the campaign
All of this is done with strong support from the campaign leadership team and PCNP Central Office.
There is a manual with an abundance of information that will be given to the coordinator and we will have a group call to provide an orientation to the work we are doing. We would like to have the roster of regional group coordinators for the campaign in place by 12/1/14 so that we can do orientations in December and hit the ground running in January.
If you know of one or two individuals in your group who would be willing and able to take on this task and serve on the #CareforPA campaign committee, please send me the name, number, and email address of your groups designated campaign coordinator as soon as possible.
There is a strong campaign leadership team in place and "we are looking for a few good (wo)men" to bring this home. Your support of PCNP is invaluable. If you have any questions or you or a potential committee member would like to talk about working on the campaign please do not hesitate to call me at (717)443-9970.
