Primary Care Nurse Practitioner – CKD/ESKD (Locum – Full Benefits – Only Weekdays) New

An innovative outpatient primary care program is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to support adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) across clinics in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, Virginia. This temp-to-perm opportunity allows providers to help launch and scale a new care model in close collaboration with nephrology and dialysis teams.

This role is ideal for NPs who enjoy longitudinal patient relationships, autonomy, and building care programs from the ground up. Patient volume ramps gradually, offering time to establish workflows and continuity of care. No nights or weekends required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care for CKD/ESKD patients

• Manage chronic conditions and complex comorbidities

• Order and interpret labs; adjust longitudinal care plans

• Collaborate with nephrologists and dialysis teams

• Build continuity with a consistent patient panel

• Support program growth and workflow development

Qualifications

• Active Virginia FNP license

• 4+ years primary care NP experience (nephrology a plus)

• Comfortable practicing independently

• Experience managing complex chronic disease

• Interest in program development and leadership

Schedule & Compensation

• $100–$110 per hour (≈ $3,800–$4,500/week)

• Monday–Friday | Five 8-hour shifts

• Temp-to-perm (16-week initial contract)

• Outpatient clinic-based role | No nights or weekends
