A Brief Overview
The Division of Orthopedic Surgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to partner closely with one of our orthopedic surgeons who leads a highly complex and high-volume surgical practice.
We are looking for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) who is passionate about pediatric orthopedics and thrives in a fast-paced, academically driven, team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in pediatric orthopedics or a related pediatric surgical specialty.

SALARY RANGE:
$104,600.00 - $138,600.00 Annually
Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
This job is eligible for an incentive program.

Position Details:
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday schedule
- No weekends or call specified
- Primary practice located in Philadelphia, PA with travel required between our New Jersey and Pennsylvania locations.
- Work in one of the top pediatric orthopedic programs in the nation

What You Will Do
- Utilizes advanced assessment skills to manage a cohort of patients. Performs and documents daily assessments. Collects and analyzes data and formulates a family-centered plan of care.
- Performs any needed advanced procedures that are listed in the Scope of Practice Document and approved as a part of the credentialing process.
- Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of the prescribed treatment plan. Using the most current evidence, modifies the plan of care based on the effectiveness of the treatment and the patient/family response to the plan.
- Serves as an educational resource to the patient/family, nursing staff, and provider team. Acts as a consultant to multidisciplinary health care team members.
- Participates in scholarly activities including research and education. Participates in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate educational offerings. Participates in the professional development of others. Acts as a preceptor and mentor to support the development of nurses, nurse practitioners, students, and other health care providers.
- Demonstrates a commitment to patient safety by speaking up about safety issues and changing practice to enhance safety. Shares errors or potential errors through system reporting mechanisms. Demonstrates shared accountability for safe practice.
- Master's Degree Nursing - Required
- Ability to work in an inter-professional team setting with multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to use computer and electronic medical records effectively.
- Refer to Scope of Practice Document and Clinical Responsibilities Checklist for specific requirements of role.
- Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required or
- Registered Nurse (New Jersey) - New Jersey State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required and
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required or
- Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) (New Jersey) - New Jersey State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required and
- Prescriptive Authority (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - within 3 months - Required or
- Prescriptive Authority (New Jersey) - New Jersey State Licensing Board - within 3 months - Required and
- Specialty Certification - as a Nurse Practitioner in area of education/subspecialty. - upon hire - Required
