Family Nurse Practitioner New

Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide high-quality primary care in an employer-based clinic supporting Arlington County employees. This is an onsite role focused on delivering comprehensive care, wellness education, and episodic treatment in a collaborative environment.

Location: Arlington, VA Arlington County Employee Clinic

Schedule: Onsite – 32 Hours/Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary care treatment tailored to employee health needs
• Manage episodic care for low-acuity urgent care cases
• Oversee extended episodic acute care (up to 4-5 visits for short-term conditions)
• Offer chronic condition education and coordinate co-management with outside PCPs
• Perform CLIA-waived testing, dispense prescription medications, and oversee a specimen collection lab
• Collaborate with onsite staff for biometric screening and health and wellness education
• Recommend and administer travel medicine immunizations or allergen immunotherapy (with proper training)
• Provide one-on-one health coaching and refer patients to wellness programs
• Work closely with HR/Benefits teams to enhance employee health outcomes
• Maintain excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills when working with healthcare staff (MA, LPN)
  
  

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
• Active and unrestricted NP license in the state of Virginia
• Minimum 3 years of Family NP experience, preferably in an independent setting within internal or family medicine
• Ability to practice independently in Virginia
• DEA licensure & prescriptive authority required
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
• BLS certification
