Cardiothoracic Surgery PA New

Location: Langhorne is a historic borough in Pennsylvania. It is situated about six miles west of the Delaware River and serves as a suburb of Philadelphia.

Facility: A 373-bed, non-profit hospital providing a wide range of services, including advanced non-invasive treatments, adult and pediatric emergency services, inpatient medical and rehabilitation facilities, and supportive health and wellness programs.​

Opportunity:

• Looking for a locum to assist with Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage.
• Practice Setting: THMA Cardiothoracic Surgery Langhorne. Mostly hospital based.
• Schedule (Shifts/Hours): 7a - 5p plus on call hours. Must be able to do weekends at least once per month.
• Weekend coverage includes rounding on patients Saturday and Sunday and subsequent on call coverage
• Call Schedule: Occasional weekday coverage with on call
• Call Ratio: 1:3
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: Varies
• Documentation System/EMR: Epic
• Will APP be Working Autonomously? No
• Must have at least two years Cardiothoracic training.
• Must be able to perform endoscopic vein harvesting and radial harvest
• Patient Age Demographic: Adult and Geriatric

• Suture Removal
• Diagnose Illnesses
• Treat Illnesses
• Order Tests
• Interpret Tests
• Assist in Surgery
• Write Prescriptions
• Coordination of Care
• Rounding
• Chest Tube Insertions
